In yet another tense AFC West matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs came out on top over the Las Vegas Raiders with a 27-20 win, continuing their stronghold over their AFC West rivals.

However, it wasn't just the score that had NFL fans talking. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made a statement in the tunnel afterward that is likely to sting for Raiders fans.

Kelce claims Las Vegas as Chiefs territory

As he entered the tunnel after the win, Kelce, who had an impressive game, declared, "We run this town."

Given the Chiefs' dominance over the Raiders in recent years, there's weight behind his words.

Kansas City has won 17 of the last 20 games against Las Vegas, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes leading the charge in those victories, boasting an 11-2 record against the Raiders.

The Chiefs also remain unbeaten at the Raiders' home, Allegiant Stadium, where Mahomes holds a 5-0 record.

Kelce's standout performance played a crucial role in the Chiefs' win.

He scored his first touchdown of the season in the second quarter, helping to put Kansas City ahead 14-10.

His 10 receptions for 90 yards marked season highs for the 35-year-old veteran, pushing the Chiefs to a perfect 7-0 record this season, the only undefeated team left in the NFL.

Kelce makes history against the Raiders

Kelce's career accomplishments continue to grow.

On National Tight Ends Day, he snagged his 75th career touchdown reception, which put him fifth in NFL history for touchdowns by a tight end, surpassing Jason Witten.

He's now just two touchdowns away from breaking Tony Gonzalez's record for the Chiefs, and he has also set a record for catches against the Raiders, a mark that dates back to when both franchises joined the American Football League in 1960.

Despite a slow start to the season, Kelce's recent success against the Raiders may have reminded his critics of his potential to deliver big moments when it matters.

Earlier in the season, Kelce had acknowledged the frustration with his numbers but assured fans he remained focused on his performance.

"I think this year, stats may say something different, but at the same time you'll see the same person inside this building, and that's all I really care about," Kelce remarked in late September.

"I'm my own worst critic. Everything outside of this building is just noise."

After Sunday's loss, the Raiders will continue to face a tough lineup in the coming weeks against the Bengals and Dolphins.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs will take on the Buccaneers, Broncos, Bills, and Panthers as they look to keep their undefeated record alive.
